Electric President - Sleep Well

Electric President's self titled debut album was one of my favourites of 2006 and it still does the job whenever i pull it out for the odd listen. Despite the lack of acclaim or hype, and arguably a weak second half and plenty of unfulfilled potential, its still a great record in my eyes. The pop melodies and percussion loops and the general mood of the album all hold good memories for me.

Anyway, they (a Ben Cooper and one Alex Kane, who are apparently only 23 or thereabout !) released their second LP in June this year, entitled Sleep Well. Its an apt name for what they call a "middle of the night record; about dreams and nightmares". Generally it feels darker than the previous cd, but it doesn't sound that different, maybe a produced a little less cleanly though.
