Exciting news: Akron/Family are back in the studio recording a new album. I loved their self-titled album and Love Is Simple too, the first a beautifully crafted debut with sentimental folky moments, great layered soundscapes as well as some rocking climaxes, the latter a crazy eclectic mix with everything from pretty harmonies to wild jam outs and epic tribal bongo beats. All of their work is basically bounded by this intangible feeling and the fact they're so crazy and diverse. Can't wait to hear their new work.
