Radiohead Ether Festival 2005

In 2005, Thom and Jonny (on the Ondes) performed a new song with the Nazareth Orchestra during the Ether Festival in London. This song was called "Arpeggi".

The song has changed much since then, appearing on In Rainbows with a new half title and structure, but retains that beautiful feeling of water rippling and bubbling and overflowing. This Ether Festival version offers something very different from the album version (and the 2006 tour version as well which was more guitar driven), its both orchestral and yet sparse at the same time. Listen for the strings rising during "I follow to the edge of the earth, and fall off / Everybody leaves, if they get the chance" The exact same part that Ed does the harmony on the album, which might be my favourite part of the record.

They also did the Hail To The Thief b side "Where Bluebirds Fly" featuring female vocalist Lubna Salame.
