I am a miner

I've recently developed something of a Neil Young obsession. I've been listening to him for some time now, but recently there are just many, many more days where i go 'Man, i need to listen to some After The Gold Rush' or something. Somedays i feel like people just don't hear an album as special as After The Gold Rush nowadays, very little modern records come close in my opinion. The sound, the emotion, Neil's voice and the registers he reaches, the harmonies etc etc.

Then i go and listen to On The Beach and am blown away.. i know it's supposedly a "sad" album but it brings me great joy just listening. Absolutely gorgeous album, some of the most beautiful guitar tones ever. The other day i was listening to See The Sky About To Rain and i looked at the sky and the dark clouds were gathering. Corny, but magically so. "See the sky about to rain, broken clouds and rain. Locomotive, pull the train, whistle blowing through my brain"

And i haven't even got into his more recent works yet.
