In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

A pretty old video of Jeff Mangum (who looks a little like Roger Federer here haha) of Neutral Milk Hotel performing the title track of their second album, which has been heavily rotated on my playlist this couple of months. It is slowly becoming a favourite of mine, some of the prettiest, most beautiful and haunting songs on there. But mostly, its because of the narrative strung through the album of Mangum's longing for Anne Frank, a young Jewish victim of the Holocaust. Might just need a full post this.
