Cat and Bird

Ok i kinda just wanted an excuse to post a picture of Cat Power here. But anyway, she's coming to Singapore next January. And so is one Andrew Bird. The first couple of months of next year are gonna be real busy for live music heads (not to mention my poor wallet), plenty of interesting acts to see, finally! 2010'll be a great year for gigs here if this list is anything to go by:

Tickets for Green Day and Patrick Watson are on sale now. Tix for Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cat Power and Bird go on sale this thursday, 12 nov (sign up for a Mosaic Friends membership for a $10 discount for Cat Power and Bird!) No news for Muse yet, will update soon.

'Can't wait' is an understatement. Green Day is going to be awesome, already got my pit tickets with hum and hock! Not a big fan of the Yeahs but they should be fun too. Cat Power and Andrew Bird though, as live shows go, are probably going to be very different and i'm really excited.

I'd imagine Cat Power's being really intimate, her deep, smoky voice lulling the audience with her pretty songs interspersed with a couple of the covers she's known for. And i wanna see how Bird recreates his crazy creativity on his records live in person, loop pedal and everything.
