These Are My Twisted Words

So after all the hoo-haa about a supposed new EP and everything (you can read the full story at green plastic) Jonny announced the free download of Radiohead's new song "These Are My Twisted Words" on Dead Air Space (he even added a link to mininova! a first?). I think besides all the talk about who leaked it last week, and whether this is a new release model of singles from them or whatever, we can and should all be grateful that we've got (another) proper new song from them, for free, and it being frickin amazing song to boot.

It's definitely a good time to be a Radiohead fan, we've had 4 new tracks, if you include Thom's Miracle Legion cover, in a few weeks! Plus Jonny mentions more material they're in the process of recording and/or practising for the shows coming up. What blows my mind about Twisted Words is how it sounds nothing like what they've done recently, ie from In Rainbows. Ok, it's got that arpeggi guitar thing going on, but it has a dark, rough, droning feel and that krautrock beat.

School's been crazy too, anyway.
