Radiohead do 15 Step at the Grammys

So, Radiohead (well just Thom and Jonny, which i did guess by the way, sort of) performed 15 Step at the Grammys, backed by the USC Trojan marching band. And while it wasn't their best performance ever, it was a breath of fresh air and heads and shoulders above the dull ones that night (maybe besides the New Orleans tribute from Lil Wayne, "My whole city underwater, some people still floatin' / And they wonder why black people still votin'", and the so-pregnant-it-looked-like-a-baby-could-fall-out-at-anytime M.I.A.)

I think the whole idea behind 15 Step with a marching band was awesome. In theory, those huge ass drum beats and the horn sections playing that epic bass line should have sounded amazing. However i think the sound production didn't do them any favours, i couldn't really make out the horns on first listen. Anyhow there were still great moments, like Thom's "oooooooooooooo" and then the drums rushing in at the start of the second verse, and the ending with "you reel me out then you cut the... STRINNGGG!! (HORNS)" And it was funny seeing the whole band almost squirm when the camera panned to them during the Album of the year nominations (which they didn't win, though they did win the Alternative one, none of which really matters though)
