Sigur Ros update

Some news about Sigur Ros' new album slated for a late 2008 release, in which they collaborate with acclaimed producer Flood. According to posts on their official site, the album is almost completed except for lyrics. It is rumoured to be a bit different from their previous work, featuring less strings apparently. I love the way Sigur Ros use strings and their orchestral arrangements, but I'm excited anyway. They also posted recently that they were recording at Abbey Road Studios with a full choir and 67 piece orchestra (sounds epic!)

They recently announced some gig dates, from Mexico, to the US, then all over Europe before heading down under. Surely they'll play some new stuff on the tour, looking forward to the bootlegs then. Anyway, this is a neat little widget from their site showing them mastering a song from the new album, as well as some other stuff.
