Hit the bottom and escape

Just a quick update with some of my favourite live mp3s.

Radiohead - Arpeggi (Live at Hammersmith Apollo) / This was the version they were performing before recording it in the studio. Much 'rockier', it has the gorgeous guitar coda after the bridge that they changed to a more sparse one (with the rocking Colin bassline too, still gorgeous) in the studio version.

Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry (Live at The Roxy) / Probably his best known song, but the great thing about this recording is you can feel the atmosphere that night, i can just imagine everyone swaying along.

Feist - Sealion Woman (Live on the Later show) / Awesome, bluesy performance from the unbelievably talented Leslie Feist. Got Thom Yorke rocking.

Portishead - Glory Box (Live) / Just such a sexy and great performance.

U2 - City Of Blinding Lights (Live in Milan) / Arena rock at its best i guess, defined by the Edge's ringing guitar.

REM - Losing My Religion (Live at MTV Unplugged) / The mandolin comes alive in this acoustic set up.

Radiohead - Exit Music (Live at Glastonbury) / From the legendary Glastonbury gig, you can feel the tension and atmosphere that night, and hear everything come together and explode in that glorious climax. Goosebumps.
