The Best Driving Music

These few songs just strike me as being perfect to drive along with late at night (or at least to take the nightrider bus with). I think i posted this about a Burial song before; his pieces are particularly suitable. Its something between the dark yet lulling atmosphere, a sort of dream like sound, accompanied by a driving (sorry) beat. Listening to these, I can imagine the orange street lights whirring by, and then blurring into the white and red car lights, turning into some sort of abstract laser show all around me. Along with the stillness of the night air and the calmness an almost empty surrounding brings. The atmosphere that this image and the music conjures brings some sort of unexplainable emotion, its quite alluring.

It just happens that most of these songs fall under the 'electronic' umbrella, not very sure why. Burn these onto a cd and pop it in next time you're driving to supper at 2am and see if you know what i mean.
