Radiohead Update

Radiohead has announced 8 more dates in May for its North American tour. West Palm Beach, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, Bristow, St. Louis, Houston and Dallas have been added to Florida from earlier. Tickets go on pre-sale from Febuary 14 on W.A.S.T.E. Damn lucky american buggers. I've got to go to a show in this lifetime. Eh Thom could you come to Singapore please?

Also, DJ/producer Amplive has been given the go ahead, after some initial copyright problems, to release his remix project of Radiohead's In Rainbows free online. Entitled Rainydayz Remixes, it features 8 songs cut and twisted out of samples of Radiohead's glorious album. I've given it a listen through and have to say i like a couple of the directions he takes with the songs, like the sped up piano on 'Video Tapez'. Probably needs more listens though. I thought i'd take this opportunity to post a couple more of my favourite Radiohead remixes.. I think it's cool a song as scary and intense like Climbing Up The Walls can be transformed into something so laid back and almost trance like in this remix. Same goes for other great remixes, they often manage to pull something out of the song you never knew was in there and sometimes even create something completely new.

Panzah Zandahz - Me & This Army (Feat. Sev Statik & A Sh**ty Mic) / This ones from the remix album, Me & This Army by dj Panzah Zandahz , a really cool hiphop reimagining of songs with chopped up beats and MCs.

Lastly, Mr Yorke posted this video on Dead Air Space. A music video of sorts for Videotape. It appeared at the end of the Thumbs_Down webcast too. To me, it looks like the videotape the song is talking about, the person talking from another place or spiritual dimension. The colours and effects, like someone communicating a signal from a different plane, and this signal interfering with our own. Spiritually, in rainbows, almost. Load of bull, i know.. enjoy.
